MaryAnn Catherine Hanson

Mary Ann was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her open heart, listening ear, and taking the time to bake and cook to serve others with copious amounts of love. She delighted in making a special dish for you when you visited, getting her hands into Mother Earth while working in her garden and just sitting and enjoying her backyard with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Carl (Dick) and her brother James Scherer.

She is survived by children Linda (Howie), Nancy (John deceased), and Tom (Gina); grandchildren Matt (Natalie), Megan (Mark), Alexandra and Karina; great-grandsons George, Walter, Everett and Benjamin.

A Celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held Saturday, October 8 at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior to service from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, MN. Interment at Union Cemetery 2505 Minnehaha Av E St Paul will immediately follow the service. Lunch will be served upon return.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Dunes Hospice LLC, 4711 Evans Ave, Valparaiso, IN 46383, the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the American Red Cross.
