He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings.
He is survived by his twin brother, Wayne (Kathy), his wife of 60 years, Helen, his son Michael (Amy), his grandchildren Max (Lauren), Megan Gronewold (Reece), his great-grandchildren, Josephine and Ellis.
He was proud of his service in the U.S. Navy.
A mass of Christian burial will occur on Tuesday, November 12, at 11:00 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. A visitation will be held prior to service from 10:00 -11:00 am. A burial with full military honors will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Thursday, November 14, at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation or the Disabled American Veterans.
