It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Dennis “Dennie” William Golla, age 50, of Maplewood, Minnesota, on November 9, 2024, in Bruno, Minnesota. Born on January 25, 1974, Dennie was known for his warm spirit, dedication to family and love for the outdoors.
Dennie was married to the love of his life, Amy Golla, for 18 wonderful years. Their marriage was a true partnership, filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Whether they were enjoying quiet evenings together, exploring the outdoors, working on the cabin, or simply spending time with their beloved pets, their bond was unbreakable. Dennie cherished every moment with Amy and their time together was filled with genuine joy and deep affection. They were not only partners in marriage but also best friends, sharing a love that that was evident to all who knew them.
Dennie was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Dennis Golla, as well as his brother Curt. He is survived by his siblings Joy Golla Hatterman and Amy Golla Ritchie, along with husband, Terry Ritchie. His love extended to his many nieces and nephews, (Jay, Zach, Ashley, Austin, Brody and Ryan) who adored their “Uncle Dennie” and will forever treasure his memory.
Dennie found his calling in the landscaping and lawn service industry, working alongside many friends and colleagues before realizing his dream of launching his own business, Golla Outdoor Services. His dedication to his craft and his passion for serving others shone through in every project he undertook. He took immense pride in his work, building a reputation for excellence and forming lasting relationships with customers and friends.
An avid outdoorsmen, Dennie loved boating, fishing, hunting, four wheeling and everything the great outdoors had to offer. His happiest moments were spent around nature, whether on the busy river, in the woods at the cabin or watching a sunset with Amy on the boat. The two of them shared countless adventures, embracing life together with a shared passion for exploring and appreciating the beauty of the world around them.
Dennie will be remembered as incredible husband, a devoted son, a cherished brother and a fantastic uncle. His generous heart, his incredible laugh, his infectious smile and kind soul touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dennie was one of a kind and the world is a little dimmer without him.
Visitation will be Wednesday November 20th at Wulff Funeral Home 2195 Woodlane Drive, Woodbury, MN 55125. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the blessing and sharing at 6:00 p.m. A celebration of Dennie’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of the joy he brought into their lives.
Rest in peace, Dennie. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved you, especially in the memories held by your beloved Amy and the rest of your family.
