The shortest day, the winter solstice, he went to the happy hunting grounds in the sky. An avid sportsman, fisherman, and hunter he loved nature in all its beauty. He left a legacy that we are so proud of. His signature whistle will always be heard blowing in the wind.
There will be a celebration of his life in the summer at his cottage. Everyone who was touched by him is welcome.
He was the youngest player ever to play in the CFL starting at the young age of 16. He had a brilliant 9 year career. He started renting equipment while working with Bird Construction and established a successful business career.
Roy was predeceased by his loving and wonderful wife Jeannie; brother Art Wright and sons Larry and John.
