

On Sunday, May 13, 2012, Lloyd H. Thompson, Carry the Kettle First Nation and late of Kipling, SK., died at the age of 80 years. The funeral service will be held in the White Calf School Gymnasium, Lebret, SK., on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Wojciech Wojtkowiak and Elders officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park, Regina, SK. A wake will be held in the White Calf School Gymnasium on Friday at 4:00 p.m. Predeceased by his father Lawrence Thompson Sr.; mother Elizabeth (nee Gordon); two brothers: Lawrence (Ace) Thompson Jr., and Raymond (Boss) Thompson; his first wife Caroline (Tweet) Thompson; and one great grandchild. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jeannette (Jeannie) Thompson; two sons: Murray (Vera) Thompson and Collin Rope; eighteen grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; one sister Betty (Dave) Barter, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and cousins. Lloyd was a proud husband, father and grandfather and was loved by all he knew. He was always ready to help anybody who asked him and he prided himself on being able to give advice to people of all ages. Lloyd will be greatly missed by all. Special thanks to the wonderful lady and her family in the restaurant who did CPR until the paramedics arrived.
