John Oliver McCaslin

John Oliver McCaslin, known to most as Oliver, was born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan on June 15, 1950 to Clifford and Mary McCaslin. The family later moved to Wolseley, Saskatchewan in 1961 for a brighter farming future. Oliver was predeceased by both of his parents in 1972 leaving him to take over the family farm. That same year he married Evelyn Coueslan. In 1975 they welcomed their daughter, Chantel, followed by their son, Jamie, in 1978. Oliver proudly continued his journey of farming alongside his son right up until the end.

Oliver was very social, outgoing, and always up for a visit or a game of cards. He was hardworking and always focused on the next step or a new project for the farm. Oliver loved the farm, his children and grandchildren.

Oliver will be greatly missed by friends and his family; daughter Chantel (Kevin) Jarrett; grand-daughters Lila and Sage; son Jamie (April) McCaslin and grandsons Daxton and Hudson.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the staff of Golden Prairie Nursing Home, as well as the entire homecare team; your compassion, patience and support was greatly appreciated by Oliver and his family.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home in Wolseley, Saskatchewan on Thursday, December 12th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a luncheon. A private graveside service for family will be held.
