She is the daughter of James and Birdie Thomson (Hotomani); her brothers before her: Edwin, Kenneth, William, Glenn (Shirley), Cecil, Nelson, Gordon, Ralph; her sisters before her: Bessie, Thelma, Phyllis; her grandchild before Tahnee McDonald (survived by her partner Doug Rain and son Warphinibi Rain).
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved daughter Sheree Thomson; her grandchildren, Nathan McDonald (Carley), Terrence McDonald (Rikki), Lacee Wuttunee (Trenton); beloved son Shane Thomson (Brenda); grandchildren, Craig Sugar ( ), Tessa Thomson (Lester), Shane Jr. Thomson, Amber O’Watch (Preston); sisters, Wilma Kennedy, Viola Krause (Bob), Sharon Thomson and adopted sister Kathy Leader; sisters-in-law, Ida, Cora, Kathleen, Jean, and Rhonda; last but not least her precious great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn numerous special nephews and nieces and their families. She provided beloved support to her loved ones as best she could through her endless loving gestures, a pillar of spiritual strength, love and endurance to all of us in our Nakota way. She is loved and honoured by all her family and friends, the richness of her life.
In humbleness, gratitude and in sacred relation we send her into the loving celebration of life and journey to our Creator and her loved ones gone before her. The wake will be held at her home on Carry The Kettle Nakota Nation at 4:00 P.M, September 11 (Tues.), and Funeral Service on September 12 (Wedn.) at 11:00 A.M. also at her residence with Rev. Bernice Saulteaux officiating. Interment in the South Cemetery.
