Bernice Lavallee of Sakimay First Nation died on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the age of 66 years.

Bernice was predeceased by her mom Gladys Lavallee; dad Douglas Desjarlais “Puck”; siblings: Kenny, (Gorgie) Harriet and Mary and daughter Jessy.

She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Workman) and Jennifer (Nixon); grandchildren Brooke (Hopfe) and Trinity (Armbruster); special nephew Terry (Wanda) and special grandniece and nephew Tannis and Tyrell.

The wake was held in the Cowessess Band Hall, Cowessess First Nation on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was held in the Cowessess Band Hall on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Bill Desnomie and Terry Flamont officiating. Interment followed in Cowessess Cemetery.
