With great sadness we announce the passing on November 14, 2018 of Art Joseph Pander, age 96, married for 68 years, to his loving wife Joyce (Tomchuk) who was at his side faithfully every day. Born December 31, 1921, south of Candiac to John and Anna (Plachetka), he was one of fourteen children in this close family.
Predeceased by his parents and his brothers Frank, John, Matt, Paul, Leo, Joe and sisters Mary, Angela and daughter-in-law Janet Pander, he is survived by his sister Clara and sisters-in-law Doris, Mary and Vera. His family, who will keep him in their hearts forever, include Joyce, his beloved wife who he loved with complete devotion, their marriage a true inspiration for all of us, Phillip (Pam), Norman (Brenda), Dianne (Dave) Sim-Moskalyk, Brenda (Wesley) Pander-Stowe, Karen (Albert) Perras and eighteen grandchildren who cherished their Grandpa and fifteen great-grandchildren to carry on his legacy. Numerous nieces and nephews had great respect for their Uncle Art.
A dedicated farmer for 40 years, Art continued farming once they moved to Glenavon and was even on the combine at age 92, nature was always a big part of his life. In 2012, they moved to Regina and after a few years when he needed more medical care he went to Riverbend Crossing where he was treated like family and we will be forever grateful for their loving and compassionate care. For three years he never spent a day without us.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina with Fr. Eusebio Tubale officiating. Cremation with private family interment to take place at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery.
