Mary Elizabeth Maloney

Mary Elizabeth Maloney, 73, Orlando, was born on July 7, 1948 and was welcomed home to be with Jesus on May 13, 2022. She is loved by her caring husband, Eugene Maloney (Orlando); sons, William R. Porter Jr. and wife Cheryl Porter (St. Cloud), and Jason Porter (Edgewater); father, Richard Overman Sr. (Edgewater) and mother, Norma Overman (predeceased); brothers, Richard Overman Jr. and wife Sharon Overman (Edgewater) and John Overman and wife Kathy Overman (Orlando); ex-husband, William Porter Sr. (Edgewater); grandchildren, Victoria Logan, Joshua Porter, Justin Porter (predeceased), Samantha Porter, Christopher Porter, Mica Porter, and Jasmine Porter; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was born the daughter of an Air Force member and later Orange County Sheriff's Office Major. After finally settling in Orlando, Mary made a home and rooted herself here. She married William (Ray) Porter Sr. and raised their sons together in Orlando. She went to nursing school and worked as an LPN. After their divorce, Mary was later remarried to Eugene Maloney. Mary loved the mountains and nature and would sit on the porch just to hear the birds in the early mornings. Mary was very devoted to Jesus and knew Him even from a young age. She was a previous member of Eastside Baptist Church and current member of PineCastle United Methodist Church. She was loving and forgiving; she was the example of how He wants us all to be.
