Lisa Ann-Smith Collier, 60, of Winter Park, Florida, passed away on December 24, 2019. Born in Orlando, she was a lifelong resident of Central Florida. She graduated from UCF in 2004 Summa Cum Laude, and worked for Orange County School District as an Early Education Teacher for 15 years. She loved her students, and fought hard for them. She was also very active at Aloma United Methodist Church and taught English there as a second language. Lisa was recipient of the Foundation For Orange County Public Schools The Melody Burton Scholarship For Future Teachers.
Lisa was very active with the Chaplains at The Shepard Of The Sea Chapel Naval Submarine Base New London, Ct. She volunteered in many capacities at the Chapel. VBS Teacher, President of Women of the Chapel, Sunday School Director To name A few. Her one of her biggest joys was at Christmas. She would make cookies and we would drive around the Base on Christmas Day giving out cookies to the gate guards, watch standers and the Brig.
Lisa was a member of the KAPPA DELTA PI International Honor Society in Education. She also loved her cats. Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Gregg; brothers, Jeff (Cara) Smith and Mark Smith; sister, Kim Farmer Smith; brother in law, Blane (Jenny) Collier and nieces and nephews, Troy, Austin, Joshua, Jordan, Julia, Jared, Jaden, Joel, William, Ken, Scott, Kevin, and Molly. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 at 3PM at Baldwin Fairchild, Goldenrod Chapel, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park.
