He was born in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Columbus South High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952 and was married in 1951 to Marjorie Jean Jewitt. Eleven years after her death, he married Dora M. Ward. He worked at Lockheed Martin for thirty-three years as an expeditor until he retired.
He is preceded in death by his father, mother, 1 brother, 2 sisters, 1 daughter, 1 granddaughter, and 2 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Dora M. Wilkins; son, Frank E. (Tina) Wilkins III; daughters, Cathy (Bill) Kinsman, Lillian (Richard) Foster, Lorena (Eddie) Park, Mona Weirich, and Kelly (Brian) Jordan; eighteen grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, Florida with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Park. Brother Scott Bruinsma will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until service time at the funeral home.
