Elizabeth “Bette” M. Stettler (Reynolds/Lyon), 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 30, 2023 in Clermont, FL. Bette was born January 23, 1942 in Aliquippa, PA (Hillcrest) to wonderful parents, Robert W. and Lois Mae Stettler. She is preceded in death by both parents.
In 1959, Bette moved to Florida to attend Florida Southern College where she obtained a degree in Mathematics. She was followed by her parents and younger sister, Judith Ann and the family has remained in Florida since. Bette was an avid duplicate bridge player and Ruby Life Master of the ACBL Bridge Club. She also loved to read and play poker as well as spend time with her family. She retired from Harcourt Brace Publishing, Co. as a computer programmer.
Bette has three children, all surviving, Ronald S. (Debra) Reynolds, Middleburg, FL, Pamela (Kevin) Hart, Merritt Island, FL and Patricia (Pete) Reynolds, Howey in the Hills, FL. Survivors also include eight grandchildren; Ron and Deb’s two daughters, Heather and Laurie (Jamie); Pam and Kevin’s three sons, Tyler, Parker and Aidan; and Patricia’s three children, Devan, Shyloe and Sheldyn. Bette has two great-grandchildren; Lilith who is the daughter to Laurie and Bohdi who is the son to Tyler. Bette is also survived by her sister Judith Ann (Donald) Bowen and nephew Donald Bowen Jr.
Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Goldenrod Chapel, 7520 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, FL 32792. Viewing will be from 11:30am – 1:00pm with a sharing of memories at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at All Faiths Memorial Park, Casselberry, FL.
