Winter Haven- Susie Jane Lewis, age 86, passed away February 13, 2015 due to respiratory failure. She was born September 17, 1928 in Ashford, AL the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Hicks and Louise Estelle Mills, Hicks. She worked in food service for the Polk County School Board. She was a member of Cypress Cathedral for many years and recently attended Heartland Community Church.

n addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her husband John B Lewis and son John Michael Lewis. She is survived by her son Gary (Rose Adams) Lewis, daughters Wanda Sue (Gary) Roberts, Cindy (Vernon) Robinson and Emma (Neil) Curran, brothers John L Hicks and Bill Hicks, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 1-2 pm with funeral services at 2:00 pm, both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven
