Bob Fleischman passed away peacefully at Good Shepherd Hospice House on Thursday, April 10. 2014.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 36 years Theresa of Winter Haven, FL, son Robert M. Fleischman (Fran) of Charlottesville, VA and daughter Anita Sue Dail (Bobby) of Gloucester, VA. Also surviving are grandchildren Michael T. Koerber of Williamsburg, VA, Patricia K. Firth (Mike) of Poquoson, VA, Andrew M. Fleischman (Trish) of Louisville, KY and Paul D. Fleischman (Grace) of Woodlands, TX.
Great grandchildren include Bobby Strickland (Jess) of Newport News, VA, Thomas Strickland and Jacob Firth of Poquoson, VA, Michael T. Koerber, Jr. of Gloucester, VA, Ella, Greta and Jasper Fleischman of Woodlands, TX and Bess and Harris Fleischman of Louisville, KY.
Great great grandchildren are Lillian, Lucy and Wyatt Strickland of Newport News, VA.
Bob was a retired civil servant having worked at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, VA for 31 years.
He proudly served in the Army Air Force during World War II. Since retiring,
Bob and Terry have enjoyed traveling, dancing, cruising and visiting family and friends.
He enjoyed playing tennis and watching sports events.
Bob was a great dancer and met Terry at a dance social.
A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winter Haven on Monday, April 14th at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial with military honors will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Tuesday, April 15th at 11:30 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church.
