An Aerospace Engineer, Mr. Burke also was also a retired Air Force Captain. He was an avid hunter, farmer, and family man.
He is survived by his children, Sharon Smith of Bartow, FL, and Wayne Burke of Cocoa, FL; grandchildren, Lily Burke of Titusville, FL, Kyia Smith of Bartow, FL, and Liam Burke of Titusville, FL; as well as great grandson Nathan Burke of Titusville, FL, and life partner, Gail Goza of Bartow, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Bell Burke.
A celebration of life for James will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
