He leaves behind his sons, Brian and Marc, and daughter Holly; grandchildren, Brandon, Noah, Hannah, Harrison, Jackson, and Anderson; brothers, Ray, Mike, John, and Jimmy; sisters, Mary Jo, Kathy, and Liz; and the many friends, family, neighbors and coworkers who traveled with him on this path called life.
Tom was born to Ray and Mabel (deceased) in Norfolk, Va. He attended Old Dominion University, Norfolk Va.
He began his working career in the beverage business in Norfolk, Virginia. His hard work ethic paid off and he began climbing the corporate ladder of success within the beverage Industry in sales and marketing for brand names: RC, Pepsi and 7-Up.
He was elected President of the Virginia Soft Drink Association twice -- once in 1972 and again in 1984-1985.
After 30+ years in the beverage business, he reinvented himself in real estate sales, becoming a Broker, and ultimately working for two builders in the greater Orlando Area, continually surpassing performance goals and awards.
He loved animals of all kinds, especially his two dogs and best buddies, Tucker and Bandit. They were his constant companions for the past several years and they kept each other company. His love of the outdoors was a respite for him as he loved working outside with his hands, making our home as beautiful as it is.
Nora wishes to thank family, friends, co-workers and neighbors for their help and assistance as Tom’s illness was long and arduous. He fought a brave fight and heaven is a much better place because he is there.
His passing has left a huge void in the lives of the people he touched and those who loved him so much.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida on April 21st at 11:00am.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the clubhouse of Stoneybrook West residential community.
If you are coming off of the 429 to enter Stoneybrook West, it is possible the GPS will bring you to a non-guard “Resident Only” gate. Please continue along Stoneybrook West Parkway until you reach the stoplight across from the elementary school. Turn right here and register at the guard house. You must have valid ID to be allowed into the community.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name to Cornerstone Hospice. It would be a great help to the many other sick and homebound residents of Orange County.
