She was born on October 30, 1928 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Percy and Oma (Sailor) Lawwill. Rosa worked for several years as a factory worker, beginning during World War II and continuing on for several years afterwards. She also worked as a volunteer for those suffering from polio. First and foremost, she was a mother and took great care and pride in raising her three children.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery Martin, her daughter, Sheila Moss and her husband Winnon Edward, one brother, Melvin Lawwill, two grandchildren; Michele Leminsky and her husband Ed and Sherry Robinson and her husband Chris and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Shirley Burgess, her granddaughter, Stephanie Dawn Moss, her husband and eleven siblings.
A private graveside service will be held in Kelley Cemetery in Colquitt, Georgia.
