Ronald L. Koch, 79, of Orlando, FL passed away on February 21, 2019. He was born in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania on November 30, 1939, the son of Ellis Koch and Elinore Brown Koch. As a young man, Ron served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked for a time as a coal miner, and then was employed by Dravo Corporation for 17 years. After moving to Florida, he went to work for Walt Disney World Co., where he worked for 30 years until retirement. He enjoyed fishing, traveling,wood working and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved spending time with his dear family. Ron was a member of People of Faith Lutheran Church.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Virginia; his children, Matthew Koch and Elke Lebron, of Winter Garden, FL; granddaughters, Melissa Johnson and Heather (Sean) Duffy, as well as three great-grandchildren, Ember Allen and Willow and Forest Duffy, all of Florida. His brother Frank W. (Connie) of Freedom, PA; his sister Carol (Carl) Summy of Lynchburg, VA, and five nephews also survive him."
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 25 from 6 - 8 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Winter Garden. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 26 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida.
