Richard J. Wilson Jr., age 80, of Centereach, New York passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023. Richard was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. A proud Air Force Veteran, a volunteer fireman and a wildlife rescuer. Richard is survived by his wife Sachiko (Sano) Wilson, Children Mark Wilson & Lana Hansen, Grandchildren Brandon & Brianna Wilson, and Lina Hansen, Daughter in law Michelle Wilson and Son in law Leif Hansen.
He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his family and friends and his everlasting smile. Richard’s grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life and meant the world to him.
Richard was a man of dignity, strength, and love who will be missed dearly.
You are invited to join us on Tuesday, September 5th at Baldwin-Fairchild, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida 34787 for a Celebration of Life from 10:30-12:00, followed by a Committal with Air Force Honors at 2:00pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Another celebration will be planned for the future in Richard's New York community.
