Patricia Whitehead, age 87, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Patricia was born in the village of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England, United Kingdom on August 24, 1935 to Wilfred Dennis Stevenson and Emily Iliffe Stevenson.
Patricia was one of 6 children including Joyce, Madge, June, Jenny and Cliff.
She was married to Kenneth Raymond Whitehead for over 40 years before his passing in 1998.
Patricia had a lifelong dedication to her family. She is survived by her six children Patricia Keesmaat; Michael Raymond Whitehead and his spouse David of Palm Springs, CA; David Wayne Whitehead and his spouse Nelida of Orlando, FL; Stephen Geoffrey Whitehead and his spouse Tracy of Paris, TN; Susan Lynne (Whitehead) McKinney of Cottondale,FL ; Richard Dennis Whitehead and his spouse Melissa of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren Sheena McKinney, Corey Whitehead, Claire (Whitehead) Stewart, Ashley Smit, Jim Whitehead, Raymond Whitehead, Geoffrey Whitehead, Amanda McKinney, Kevin McKinney, Kenneth Whitehead, Annabel Whitehead, David Whitehead, and Christopher Whitehead. She is survived by 4 great grandchildren Victoria Whitehead, Emma Whitehead, Smith Stewart, and Evie Stewart.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church and Lions Club charity and was very involved with both throughout her life.
Patricia was an avid life-long reader who loved flowers, the beach, the Atlanta Braves, the BBC, Masterpiece Theatre and her afternoon high tea. She had an extraordinary memory and ability to know what every family member loved for all birthdays, special events, and decoration for the holidays. Among many other things, she will be missed for her love, generosity, warmth, and exuberant smile.
A visitation for Patricia will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida. A committal service will occur Friday, June 23, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
