Ellen C. Eastham, age 85, of West Orange and South Lake County, Florida passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. Ellen was born on December 5, 1938 to the late Louis and Hazel Campbell, and grew up in Kenova, West Virginia. She was the Salutatorian of her High School Class before graduating from Marshall University with a degree in Medical Technology and was the first person in her family to graduate both High School and College. Upon graduation she married the love of her life; Dwaine Eastham in 1960. They then moved to Florida in 1962, where she began her medical work for Orlando Health and Orange County Medical Clinic. In that role she was the Director of Lab Services for 20 years and they used their work to support both of their children through graduate and professional school.
Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling with family, her Shelties (Shelby, Lady, Teddy and Reagan), Gator football games, and singing southern gospel through her church. In fact she started a trio of senior ladies that ministered to the senior adults at First Baptist Church of Winter Garden. She felt that her life's path should follow a daily walk with Christ and used her music to help others see His grace.
Ellen is predeceased by her husband, Dwaine, and her parents.
Ellen is survived by her Daughter; Margaret Eastham MD (Jim Lechman) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and her Son; Dwaine (Sharon), and grandchild; Elise of Winter Garden, Florida.
