Ruth “Evelyn” Rector Quesenberry was born October 14, 1932, to the late William and Rachel Rector in Fancy Gap County VA. She has passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2021, at 89 years young.
Ruth was proceeded in death by her husband Daniel J. Quesenberry by less than a week of her passing, her son Kenneth Quesenberry and her brother Eugene Rector. She has left behind to cherish her memory her daughter Kimberly Bamford and her husband Bruce.
Ruth worked hard throughout her life for companies such as Sarah Lee who would not let her leave and continuously asked her to come back and followed it up with Hanes Brand where she was able to retire. She was also privileged to be an Olympic Torch Carrier in Atlanta 1996. She spent most of her time volunteering for different agencies.
Ruth loved to take care of her flowers around the house. She would be found in the front of the house weeding the grass, on the side of the house watering and taking care of flowers. She also loved baking cakes not only for her home but for her neighbors as they moved into the neighborhood. She also had a passion for canning the vegetables that her husband (Dan) grew in his garden.
Evelyn (as she was known to most) was very loved throughout her life and will be missed in the kindest ways possible. She is at peace now and those that know her cant wait to see her again in the new life to come.
