Greg worked at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for 35 years, he was the Diagnostic Sonographer registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN. He was identified as the best in his field. Funny, intelligent, and Godly are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to describing him. He loved the Lord, his family, and his friends. He had a love for music and wrote many songs that made everyone laugh or cry, even lullabies. He was a preacher in South Carolina in years past, sharing his heart with everyone, and was truly a humble man. Greg is survived by his daughter Leah Marie Sapp, and his grandchildren Claire Elise Sapp and Noah Hauser. His parents are Jean Hartgrove Stewart and Oscar Floyd Stewart III. His siblings and their spouses Philip Ray Stewart (Terry) and Angela Stewart Wood (Ray) Nieces and Nephews: Erica Stewart Mentzer (Kyle), Bronson Wood, Mary Stewart, Jon Stewart.
A celebration of life for Gregory will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Vogler Funeral and Cremation Service at Forsyth Memorial Park., 3815 Yadkinville Road, Winston Salem, North Carolina 27106.. A catered reception to follow service. A private inurnment at a later date will occur at Forsyth Memorial Park. In lieu of Flowers the family ask that you make donations to First Christian Church of Clemmons.
