Donnie Gene Malone, 63, entered God's Kingdom on February 2, 2022. He passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 5, 1958 to the late Eugene and Lydia "Pi" Malone. He attended Jordan Matthews in Siler City, where he was a 1976 graduate. His life long career of insurance agent was just one way he helped people. He often shared stories of how families told him that the policy he wrote really had a big impact. Don enjoyed many of life's simple things - that included golf, fishing, spending time on the beach, dancing and coin collecting. Never met a stranger. He loved to make people laugh. Being described as a "legend" - his love for his family and friends was immense. He and his wife, always felt blessed that their two families developed inseparable bonds and shared many great years together. His love for his mother-in-law, Della Farmer was powerful - They just clicked. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Addison Malone, his father-in-law, John Gavin Farmer and two brothers-in-law, Robert Farmer and Rodney Farmer. Their reunions in heaven surely can't be felt by those reading this. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rhonda Farmer Malone and a daughter Ashlee Lauren Malone (Christian) of Wilmington. Sisters, Pat Elrod (Eddie) of Charlotte, Judy Aycock (Charlie) of Oak Hill, Florida and Lisa Williams (Joe) of Kill Devil Hills. He also survived by many nieces and nephews. His love for each of them and their children was immeasurable. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 5th at 3:00pm at Vogler Funeral Home at Forsyth.
