Mr. Steve Wiggins

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather at his home on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the age of 95 years.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Mary of 74 years; son Michael of Birds Hill; daughter Barbara Kearney of Winnipeg and Myrtle Polenski (Wilf) of Lockport; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve was predeceased by his father Mike; mother Dora; brothers Pete “George”, Frank and Joe; sisters Sophie and Helen.

Steve was born in Birds Hill on November 29, 1916 and resided there his entire life. He was a hard working man, maintaining the farm, while being employed at various other jobs. He also served on council in the R.M. of East St. Paul for two terms. Steve retired from the Public Works Department, R.M. of East St. Paul.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Ukrainian National Cemetery, Lorne Hill Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
