Mrs. Rose Angela Nykon Ritter

NOVEMBER 24, 1925 – DECEMBER 7, 2010

With great sadness, the family announces the sudden passing of our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

Rose was predeceased by her husband, John in December of 2007.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Darlene Cameron (Murray), grand-daughters Kylie (Jonathan), Aynsley (Cory), and grandson Ian (Aimee); son Douglas (Joyce) and grand-daughter Ashley. Her three great-grandchildren Ross and Max Wilder and Mylo Yamashita have given her so much joy. She also leaves behind a sister Lina Knight of Winnipeg a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Gloria Ritter of Melville, SK and sister-in-law Ruth Anderson of Winnipeg as well as cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom was born in Winnipeg on November 24, 1925 on her Mother’s birthday. She lived her entire life in Winnipeg. In the late 1940’s, she met and married Dad. Together they built a home which was always filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals. Her backyard roses and glads were unforgettable. It gave her great pleasure to knit and crochet for her family; nothing being too difficult to undertake.

We wish to thank the Home Care staff; Linda, Tammy, Josephine, Aige, Jill, Margaret, Helen, as well as the emergency staff at the Victoria General Hospital. Special thanks to Brenda Shannon and Cyndi Posner.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 10:00 am at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
