Her grandchildren Marie (Steve), Felicia (Steven), Brianna (Josh), Mario (Ashley), Brett, Sophia (Damian), Antonio and Giuliana. Great grandchildren Alessio & Mykenna. Only surviving sibling, Vittoria Aiello; sister-in-laws Maria Mauro and Wilma Anania, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Canada, USA and Italy.

Maria was born in Amato, Italy and immigrated to Canada in her early 20’s, marrying her husband, Antonio. Early years in Canada she worked as a seamstress at a factory, and later at her home. In time, she and Antonio were able to open Tony’s Grocery. She was bright and hard working, opening her doors to family and neighbours. Her husband, an entrepreneur, paved a path for their family that she supported, cared for and nurtured. Her dedication and passion for her family was unwavering. To her family, her home was the place all were welcomed. She demonstrated a zest for life, generosity and love. She will be deeply missed, close to our hearts and forever with us.
The family would like to thank our family and friends for the care and support over the past few weeks. Your meals, visits and thoughtfulness warmed our hearts during our time of need. We would also like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and Executive Nursing for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Maria to Parkinson Canada, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of choice.
