Jean Strukoff (nee Shwaykosky) is survived by Alex, her husband of 67 years; son Brad (Barb Sims), grandchildren Graeme Strukoff (Jocelyn Heaps) , Stefanie Froese (Kyle), their children Hannah and Jax , all of Chilliwack, BC.; daughter Brenda Nykoluk (Greg) of East St Paul, grandchildren Marshall Nykoluk, of Winnipeg; Courtney Heinemann (Evan), their daughter Paityn of Oak Bank, Alex Enns (Derrick) their son Benson of Winnipeg; sisters in law Emma Shwaykosky of Winnipeg, Mary Harris (Walt) of Courtney, BC, and Virginia Strukoff of Saskatoon, also many nieces,nephews and extended family.
Jean was predeceased by her mother Anne (nee Zabinsky) in 1949 and James Shwaykosky in 1970; brother Allan Shwaykosky in 2001, a daughter in infancy, brothers in law Fred and George Strukoff, sister in law Tannis Strukoff and a nephew Robert Strukoff. Jean was born and raised on the farm in the Vesna School District near Arran, Sask. September 12, 1937. She met a young farmer, Alex Strukoff, who was from the small community of Pelly, Sask . Jean was allowed to move away at a young age to Toronto, only because her brother Allan was working there. Jean and Al were married on June 30, 1956 in Benito, Manitoba.They resided in various areas in Winnipeg, and finally East St Paul. For the majority of the time Jean was a stay at home Mom. Once the children were older she was employed at various places including the local golf course and a personal care home. Once mom and dad retired they enjoyed traveling to many locations including Texas, Hawaii, California and across Canada.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 16 at 2:00 PM from Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson’s Hwy. Winnipeg, Manitoba R2G 1P4. Reception to follow.
