Betty was predeceased by her husband Ling You Au; her parents Hong Sai Yee and Fong Gill Hong; brother Michael Hong and mother in law Shun Yee Au.

She is survived by her children: Navy (Jackie), Holy Susan), Lily (Bruce).

Her grandchildren: Blair (Jasmine), Stephanie (Lee), Heather (Thomas), Ashley, Phillip, Amanda, great-grandchildren Aidan and Audrey, as well as 4 legged friend Blue.

Mom was born in beautiful Hong Kong and moved to Newfoundland in 1956 to join her husband and start their family together.

Throughout her life, she has always encouraged her children to embrace the Canadian way of life. At the same time, to respect Chinese values and traditions.

Funeral services will be held at 10am, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
