Eileen was the oldest daughter of Bill and Olive Muir, and was born in 1922 on the farm in Margaret, Manitoba. Although times were tough in the 1930’s, there was much love and joy in the extended Muir family. In addition to being a stay at home mother for many years, Eileen was a teacher, starting her professional career in Roland, Manitoba and ending at Royal School in Charleswood, close to where she and Corrie raised and nurtured their family. Family was the most important part of Eileen’s life. She also loved church, the Rebecca Lodge and PEO, visiting with friends and family, baking, curling and bridge where her keen intellect and analytical mind thrived.
Eileen was a talented, kind and gentle person, simply the best mother, grandmother and great grandmother you could ever wish to have. She is and will be greatly missed.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd.
