Remaining to cherish his memory is his wife Adele; children Lee (Patricia), Lisa and Darren; grandchildren Nova, Jordan, Ayla, Chase, Pearson, Emma and Luke; as well as many cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Elynor and Pat; and his sister Gay.
Ed was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and as a young man he joined the Wildlife Federation. He gained employment as a Wildlife Officer and served in Broughton Island and Resolute Bay, Nunavut and Norman Wells and Fort Smith, N.W.T. In 1981, after 10 years in Northern Canada he moved back to Winnipeg with his family.
He then started up his own handyman/renovation company- Smokey’s Special Services, inspired by his nickname Smokey. Ed was an avid golfer and loved a good game of bridge with longtime friends. Luckily, he was able to play both up until his passing
A private interment was held on February 28.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
