Dinesh Chander Sharma

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden demise of our dearest papa Mr. Dinesh Sharma, a pure, divine, selfless and compassionate soul.

He passed away on May 08, 2021, at the age of 68, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Ajmer, Rajasthan on April 10 1953. He was the youngest of his siblings, cherished by his elder sister and two elder brothers.

Our papa was a devoted son, loving husband, father and grandfather, a caring friend, exemplary mentor, and a respected leader who was the heart and soul of our small knitted community. He fulfilled many roles with utmost grace and dignity.

Our papa graduated from Delhi University with a Bachelor of Law and worked for a reputable insurance company. Even in his young age he was devoted and always willing to provide everything he could for the community. In 1990 he moved with his family to Winnipeg. This has been his home since. This is where he established friendships that became family.

His favourite time includes playing with his grandchildren. Telling them stories and singing songs. He was a great chef and made many different cuisines.

Our father was a noble, humble and spiritual soul. He remains the foundation of our family and a strong pillar of our community. His service to the Ellice and St Anne’s temple and the community was selfless, unwavering and full of devotion.

Over the last 30 years, he has been a guiding light for many. He instantly connected and formed everlasting bonds with all those he met. His altruism was defined through his ability to heal, listen and guide. His jovial personality allowed him to see the best in everyone and the welfare of others remained his utmost priority. His values and teachings will be an example for generations to follow.

He is survived by his wife Rajee, son Kartik(Sonika), daughter Kanika(Ganesh) and grandchildren Karishma, Krisha and Saatvik.

He will always be cherished by family, friends and the community.
