“KUDDLES”
David peacefully left our world on Monday May 16, 2011, to ride into the sunset on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
David will be deeply missed and forever loved by his wife Joanne E. (Tymchak), his only brother Peter, his mother- in- law Evelyn, sister- in- law Christine (Les Cels), sisters Lorna McBride (Ken) of Sechelt, BC, Patti Jensen (Owen) of Nanaimo, BC, brother-in-law John Hebel (Lori), nephews Brandon and Carson and niece Sara of White Horse, Yukon. He will also be deeply missed by his two precious kittens Franklin and Samantha.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister-in-law Jennifer Hebel in 2005.
David was born in Winnipeg on Wednesday, September 10th, 1947 to Michael and Olga (Nelson) Kudlovich. David lived in Fort Garry most of his life except in Medford, Oregon and Calgary, Alberta early in 1970’s.
He went to school at Ralph Maybank, General Byng, Pembina Crest, Vincent Massey (Winnipeg) and University of Manitoba.
He worked many jobs as a camp cook helper at Gilliam, Thompson, Long Spruce, Jenpeg for Manitoba Hydro.
Motorcycle Junior Mechanic at Northwest Cycle; housekeeper for his parents, and later was a vehicle driver to USA from 1999-2001. He was also a published author in 1992 for a children’s book called “Why Me?” but his true passion was riding his 1994 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle with his wife Joanne in the side car to which he put on many miles in his lifetime.
Later in his life, he also had a passion for 4 X4 trucks. He put many miles on his 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 (Black and Silver).
David met his sweetheart Joanne on the spring run on May 4, 1986, they were never apart and after seven years of courtship they got married in Deadwood South Dakota on August 9, 1993 they would be married for eighteen years.
Family wishes to thank many people that helped David with his illness, Victoria Hospital Emergency Unit, also the Nurses and Doctors on the 2nd floor and 4th floor. The Nurses and Health Care Aides at Riverview Health Centre especially Dr. Marcello Garcia and Chaplain Al for helping us with the pain and courage you showed us in our time of sorrow and need.
In lieu of flowers please give donations to Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit 3E Wing or to a charity of choice.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 20, at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
