Sharon Maryanne Chalmers

Peacefully at home on October 17, 2019, at the age of 73 years. Cherished wife of Larry, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage earlier this year. Loving mother to Paul (Jennifer) and Mark (Karen). Special grandmother to Jessica, Joshua, Logan, Tyler, and Storie. Survived by brother Ben (Jeannette) Tinsley, sister Janice Gregory, and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was born on January 4, 1946 in Gravenhurst, Ontario, and grew up in Kingsville. She spent her life educating and working with children, as a schoolteacher, a child care worker, and a foster parent. She was an active member of Cottam United Church, serving in the choir, Sunday School, and anywhere help was needed. She enjoyed music and could often be found harmonizing to a wide variety. She loved her family, and especially enjoyed attending the many activities of her grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Cottam United Church (137 County Rd. 34).
