Ann “Nan” McDonald (nee Hamilton) was the end of a generation. At 99 years passed away peacefully on June 12, 2011 with her family at her side and is now reunited with her beloved Charlie (2005). Loving mother of Charles (Bud) and Shirley of Vancouver B.C., George and Doris of Victoria B.C., Ann Rivait (Bob 2003), Isabelle and Gary Higginbottom, Jim and Doreen of London, and Sheila and Dave Workman. Nan is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her grandchildren Mary Lou McDonald (1956) and Scott Higginbottom (2008), and also by her sister Isa Parkinson (2001) and by her brothers Jack (1919), Andrew (1922), Davey (1979), James (1988), Sandy (1996) and George (1999). Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519) 254-3223 on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Anderson Memorial Chapel on Thursday June 16, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. Donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
