Robert "Bobby" Gilbert

Robert "Bobby" Gilbert, age 68, of Bethlehem, GA passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023. Bobby was born in Fulton County to the late David Edgar "Bud" Gilbert and Patricia Buchanan Gilbert. He was a graduate of Norcross High School. He loved UGA Football and WWE professional wrestling. He loved to go fishing with his family and loved all things NASCAR. More than anything, he loved his family.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his wife of 22 years, Mary Lynn Seabolt Gilbert. He was also predeceased by his brother, David Gilbert; sisters: Patricia Coleman and Virginia Gilbert; grandson, Allen Garvin; great-granddaughters, Emberlee Humphries, Rainlyn Helton; a great grandchild and a son-in-law, Clifford Triplett. Bobby is survived by his daughters: Christy (Gregory) Garvin of Maysville, Dawn Triplett of Commerce, and Heather (Adam) Helton of Bethlehem; brother, Michael (Rhonda) Gilbert of Jefferson; sister, Donna Muse of Cumming; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews: sister-in-law Susan Gilbert and brother-in-law Curtis Coleman.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder on Thursday, November 30 from 6pm until 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 1st at 2:00 in Smith Memory Chapel with Pastor Tim Tafur officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder.

The family has invited guests to join them for a meal after the services at Sharon Baptist Church, 1059 Dee Kennedy Rd, Auburn GA.
