Jerry "Diddy" Martin

Jerry “Diddy” Martin age 77 of Statham, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018. He was a milk man for 37 years working for several company's throughout his career . Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Cora McDonald Martin; his wife, Shirley Savage martin; a daughter, Susie Martin and a grandson, LeeBuddy Martin. He is survived by four sons, David Martin (Brandy), Don Martin, Leland Martin and Chris Martin all of Statham; a daughter, Jeanell Martin of Cartersville; two brothers, John Martin of Monroe and Wayne Martin of Winder; two sisters, Joann Bennett of Winder and Sara Hill of Rutledge; 12 grandchildren, Emily Giardina, Kayla McDougald, Ashley Martin, Kahne Martin, Logan Martin, Weston Martin, Sheldon Martin, Olivia Martin, Holly Martin, Amber Peifer, Taylor Hodges and Danny Varnell and 6 great-grandchildren, Sylvia and Josephine Giardina, Hannah Wallace, Autum Peifer, Jada Peifer, Gabriel Hodges and Melanie Hodges. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8PM Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral services will be at 2PM Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Ned Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
