Doug Carter, age 58, of Danielsville, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013. During his life, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Fletcher Hewell Carter. Survivors include his wife, Denise E. Carter of Danielsville; his mother, Martha Carter of Statham, GA; and several cousins and aunts. The family received friends from 6-8:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013. The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Driskell officiating. The burial will follow the service at Bostwick Cemetery, Bostwick, GA. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
