Doris B. Martin

Doris B. Martin, age 89, of Statham, GA, passed away on August 2, 2012. Doris was born in Winder, GA. She was a seamstress and retired from Statham Garment Manufacturing Company. Doris was a member of Bogart Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Myrtice Whitehead Baker; her husband, Arthur H. Martin, Jr.; and two grandchildren, Kelli and Lee Gabriel. Doris is survived by her son, Ricky L. Martin of Jonesboro, GA; two daughters, Brenda Martin of Statham and Cathy Lynn Stallings of Winder, GA; grandchildren Erica M. Johnson and Jordon T. Stallings; great grandchildren Victoria Maddox, Alex Pickett, Madison Johnson, and Mekenzie Johnson; a brother, James Baker of Plato, MO; and a sister, Ruby Cartee of Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends on August 5, 2012 from 6-9 PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. A funeral service will be held on August 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Smith Memory Chapel, Winder, GA with Reverend Ken Young officiating. The interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens, GA.
