Connie Gail Queen, age 64, of Winder, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012. She was a bus driver for the Gwinnett County school system for 28 years. Connie enjoyed crafting, listening to music, arranging flowers, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Howell Hogan Queen. Survivors include her mother, Doris Stewart of Monroe, GA; her son, Destry (Tam) Mull of Bethlehem, GA; two daughters, Monica Y. (Joe) Brent and Angelique (Wesley) Collins of Winder; her brother, Dennis (Kathy) Queen of Monroe; two sisters, Shelia (Bobby) Mitchell and Rhonda (Danny) Atha of Monroe; 7 grandchildren, Bailey Mull, Mason Collins, Logan Brent, Bryce Wilson, Mollie Wilson, Trenton Mull, and Wyatt Collins; and six nieces. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6-9 PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Manus and Pastor Matt Calvert officiating. The burial will follow the service at Queen Family Cemetery, Monroe. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
