Claire M. Brown

Claire M. Brown, 78 of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023. She was a long time member of Bethlehem Church, where she was very active and headed up the Senior Small Group. Claire was a social butterfly who dearly loved her friends and family and was always making sure she kept up with her classmates, friends and her family tree. She was always up for adventure, she loved the mountains, the beach and especially Gatlinburg.

Claire was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Louise Sims McElroy and her loving husband of 33 years, Billy Ray Brown. She is survived by her son, Mike Brown of Bethlehem; a brother, Bobby McElroy (Sherri) of Monroe; two grandchildren, Madison and Tyler Roof; and nieces and nephews: Tracey Brown Hixon (Chris), Kelly Brown Etheridge, Jim Bob McElroy (Erin), Timothy McElroy (Carrie), and Karen Brown Phillips (Tom).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Bethlehem Church with Pastor Jason Britt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM until service hour.

Interment will not be public, but will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Claire’s memory to Bethlehem Church.
