Edward K. Gardner, 70, of Macclesfield, passed away Sunday surrounded by his family. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson, NC with Pastor Chris Harris officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC.
Edward farmed all of his life and attended Oak Grove FWB Church in Elm City. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Ernestine Morgan Gardner of the home; two daughters, Crystal L. Baker (Lyle) and Beth Ellis, all of Macclesfield; five grandchildren, Ashleigh Fuller, Christian Reyes, Landon Baker, Avery Baker, and Vada Ellis; siblings, Nancy G. Webb of Elm City, and John Gardner (Yvonne), Joe Gardner (Cynthia “P’Nut”), Lynn G. Gay (Jimmy) and Bethann Gardner, all of Macclesfield; four nephews, Chad Webb, Adam Gardner, Kevin Gardner and Jamie Harrell; and two nieces, Rhonda Harrell and Mandy Renfrow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jodie and Pat Gardner; a sister, Mildred Harrell; a niece, Meagan Gay; and a brother-in-law, Roland Harrell.
