William Herbert Richardson

He was born in Charleston, SC on August 14, 1945 to the late Allene Rogers (Rich) and James B. Richardson.

Bill served in the United States Air Force for 4 years, worked for Bell South for 20 years and then retired after 25 years at GE. He was an avid bowler and a wonderful husband to his late wife, Kay Richardson and a wonderful father to two children whom he adopted.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and brother, James D Richardson.

Bill is survived by his brother, Paul Douglas Richardson of Winnabow, NC; his daughter, Cheryl Richardson Fales of Winnabow, NC; his son, Jeffrey Gene Richardson and Joyce Tassie both of Charlotte, NC; tow grandsons, Christopher Nolan Wilder and his wife, Kimberly Kellum Wilder and William Bradley Wilder and his wife, Kelsi Edmonds; three great grandchildren; Aylah Grace Hall, Greyson Rhett Wilder and Knox Jennings Wilder.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jim Herchenhahn officiating.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
