Sylvia Head, age 86, of Castle Hayne, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was born on June 30, 1938 in Duplin County North Carolina, daughter to Joseph Watkins and Annie Jane Blanton Watkins. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Carl Joseph Head; and several brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Robert Frank Head Sr. sons; Robert Frank Head Jr. wife Tonya, Manley Shane Head; also survived by brother Richard Watkins Sisters Faye Rhodes (Stacy) and Peggy Taylor. Her grandchildren: Dustin Head, Gary Head, Jeffery Head, Travis Head, Kade Head, Jake Head and Stephen Head. Special mention great granddaughter, Elizabeth and daughter-in-law, Lisa Head.
Sylvia enjoyed her hobby making ceramics and porcelain dolls. At one time she was a renowned breeder and shower of AKC registered dogs.
A visitation for Sylvia will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
A Funeral Service will start at 2:00 PM in the Coble Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
