In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doraleen Covington Joyner; sisters: Frances Ellington, Nancy Carroll and brothers: Clyde Joyner and Roy Joyner.
He is survived by his daughters: Theresa Miller and her husband David of Wilmington, NC and Wendy Rhodes of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren: Austin Brackin, George Saunders IV, Spencer Saunders, Madisyn Miller and Sheridan Miller; three great grandchildren: Jackson Brackin, Layla Brackin and Aida Saunders and brother Alfred Joyner.
A Visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Boulevard, Wilmington, NC 28412. The Funeral Service will follow promptly at 2pm with Joe Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
