Just heard of Bob's passing, was a good friend when we were both members of Slater Chemical Fire Co. in his old hometown of Glenham, NY and would see him when he came back to visit You will be missed, rest in peace my friend.

How can we ever say good bye to a brother who we loved so very much.  Throughout his lifetime of relentless health issues, Bob had an enormous courage to tackle every medical challenge and move on.  He was incredibly valiant human being.  We talked everyday, from New Paltz, New York to Wilmington, NC.  Throughout our lives we stood tall, shoulder to shoulder through every ailment.  
He had great joy in volunteering at tge Wilson Center and kept this Big Sister up to date on all performances, he loved volunteering, the friendships.  Dearest brother we are mourning so, but as woman of faith, we know you are in heaven with our parents and brother David.

As in life we carried you with me, and now and forever I shall miss you always.

Sending my condolences to Linda and the Carroll family.  Bob and I worked together at the Riegelwood Mill where I served as Mill Controller.  Bob was very passionate about his work.  We shared some fun times together collaborating and communication by up with solutions for the Riegelwood Mill.  I pray GOD’s richest Blessings upon you as you cast your cares upon HIM and HE gives you a Peace that surpasses all understanding and heals your hurt!  Know that GOD is with You!

Linda, we're very sorry to hear that Bob has passed. He is now done with all the physical challenges that he so bravely fought to overcome!  Bob was a wonderful resource to me and everyone else at the mill, and was an even better friend.  Some of our best memories were company celebrations and fun Thalian outings with you and Bob! To Bob's Family.  I, too, was a volunteer Hospitality Host or Guest Services Rep at Wilson Center with Bob.  I found him to be a very kind and caring person despite his health challenges.  He was an inspiration for us to keep moving and keep going. My husband died last year and he always checked in with me to make sure I was doing OK.  May Bob RIP.

Sharon and I were so sorry to read of Bob’s passing. Know we are thinking of you at this difficult time and express our deepest condolences.

To Linda, the Carroll family and all those whom Robert loved: I am heartbroken that Bob is no longer physically with us, but also at peace that he's at peace. He was undoubtedly one of the brightest & kindest souls I've ever encountered. We shared many hours as volunteers doing our tasks but mostly having deep discussions about LIFE. He always looked out for others even if he wasn't at his best. He often brought baked goods to share with us and he and Linda enjoyed the fresh fruit I gave him to take home. Knowing he was in a difficult place, I frequently 
sent encouraging messages & scriptures hoping to brighten their days. He's already missed but his spirit lives with us. My/Our world was made better by his shining light. May  you find peace in the vastness of memories shared with him. His life was well lived, his earthly purpose is fulfilled. 💞 🌟

It was truly a joy to volunteer with Bob. My heart aches 💔 with you.

My heart is broken as I read of Bobs passing.  He was a bright star to those of us who were blessed to work with him at the Wilson Center.  He never let his pain stop him from enjoying life and bringing joy to those of us around him.  He will be missed.  I will miss his encouraging words.   RIP Bob.

It is with deep regret that I read of Bob’s passing. I served alongside him as a volunteer at the Wilson Center. He was absolutely one of the kindest and most honorable men I’ve ever met. He will be truly missed. Please accept my sympathies for your loss.

Dear Linda,
  We are overwhelmed with grief at the passing of our brother Bob.  We know he now is free of pain and crippling bodily ailments.  My brother was the bravest  man I have ever known, moving forward to never let any medical challenge stop his productive life.  

  My savior in heaven, Jesus Christ sent angels to bring him home to heaven.  He had suffered enough. Now United with our beloved Mother, Vera McKinney Carroll, our Father Donald Joseph Carroll and our Brother David Paul Carroll.  I know my brother Robert is resting in eternal peace United by grace with Mom.  A beloved and great brother, rest peaceful.
