Rita McCall

June 3, 1953 - November 5, 2024

Rita Ann McCall, age 71, of Wilmington, NC. passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024. Rita was born in Brevard, NC, to the late Ray Vernon McCall and Jewell Owen McCall. Having lived near the coast for the last 40 years, her ties to the mountains continued to hold a deep-seated place in her heart. She lived a life filled with creativity and a passion for the arts, having spent the last part of her life realizing her dream of turning the art that she loved into her livelihood and community.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Rayetta Henderson and husband Daniel Henderson, and her son, Ryan Grasty and wife Anne Grasty, all of Wilmington, NC. She was a proud, adoring grandmother to Cole and Reagan Henderson. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and her warmth, devotion, and love enriched their lives immeasurably.

Rita's legacy will be honored on November 23, 2024 at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park located at 1155 Shipyard Blvd. Wilmington, NC, where all who knew her are welcome to gather in remembrance. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, prior to the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 12:00 pm.
