Rebecca Jane Watson, age 67 was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 19th 2024. “Jane” was born on April 21st 1957 to Merina Mintz Watson and Ira Dillion Watson, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Earl Ray Watson and Franklin “Bo” Watson.
Jane enjoyed working with the public and spending time with her family. In her prayer journals she always began by saying “God is good all the time, All the time God is good.” Praying for others’ needs ahead of her own although hers were abundant daily. John 3:16 and Psalms 23 were some of her favorite verses.
Jane is survived by her son, Sean Watson (Brandi), daughter, Wendy Potter (Eric), sisters; Rachel Corbett, Joyce Haskett, brothers: David “Buddy” Watson, (Vicki), Edward “Eddie” Watson, (Debbie), special sister in law, Jeanette Watson, 5 grandchildren: Berkley Watson, Raygan Goodson, River Sykes, Cody Potter, Haley Potter, (Dylan), 1 great granddaughter, Raylynn Patrick, special nieces: Deidre, Sindi, Debra, Emily, Kelly, special nephews, Frankie, Michael, Brad, Matt, Adam, Travis, John and Chris.
The service will be held at Shiloh Methodist Church, 1875 Maco Rd. Leland, NC on Thursday, December 26, 2024 with visitation from 1-2 pm and the funeral following at 2pm.
