On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Lee Trudgen, my darling, wonderful husband went to be with our Lord and Savior. The stroke took away a warm, considerate, kind and loving husband and father. He was born on April 12, 1950, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, to Peggy and LeRoy Trudgen and lived a life full of devotion, hard work, and faith.
Early in his youth he served for six years in the United States Military as a Marine. Lee married the love of his life, Ruby, and together they shared 46 wonderful years of marriage. As proud parents, they raised three children, Becky, Chris, and Tommy, in Northern Pennsylvania, instilling in them the values of love, kindness, and faith.
In 1989, Lee and Ruby ventured west to Arizona, where they lived for ten years before settling in North Carolina. Over the past 56 years, Lee built a successful career as a barber, enjoying working in three different states. His skill, dedication, and warm personality left a lasting impression on the many lives he touched. He also was a talented woodworker, he made beautiful pieces of furniture and custom cutting boards.
Lee’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. A devoted follower of the Lord for over 40 years, he embodied compassion and love in all he did. He cherished his family and always found time to support and uplift those he loved.
Lee will be deeply missed by his wife, Ruby; his children, Becky, Chris, and Tommy; his six grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; and his sister. His legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Lee’s life will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Port City Community Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to a charity of your choice or consider being an organ donor.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
